I liked the way House of Hollow began. It presented an intriguing mystery about the main characters and their even more mysterious talents. The tone of the story (so far) seems right out of a modern fairy tale, which reminded me strongly of several of Holly Black’s books as well as Melissa Albert’s novels (notably the Folk of the Air series and The Hazel Wood + The Night Country).
