This is not my usual genre, but a goal of mine in 2021 is to read more "weird" books with fantastical elements. This was put on my radar for that reason and I'm even more intrigued after reading the First Look.
The cover draws you in - I love the painterly style and those flowers are beautiful. Would definitely be something I'd grab off the shelf. But the author's writing and story have me desperate to read more & find out what happens to this family! Can't wait to see how it continues.
