The cover immediately draws the reader in, as a woman's face is obscured with exotic flowers. These flowers are echoed in the main character's name, Iris. The author does a great job of immediately creating the mystery surrounding the sisters with the prologue devoted to a nighttime burglar, whom one of the sisters subdues with a kiss.
The mystery continues as we learn that the sisters were kidnapped several years prior and came back...strange. I was impressed at how well the characters were developed, just in the first 30 pages. I can't wait to read more!
