Even without knowing their secrets, the Hollow sisters make for interesting characters. Iris, the "normal" one, brings us into the story in a way that feels approachable, while introducing the otherwordly aspects of the Hollow's lives. It's clear each sister has her own strength and darkness which I'd love to read more about as the book progresses. The fantastical elements of the story definitely make for an interesting and unusual read.
The cover of the book is beautiful with hints of darkness, much like the story itself. I think they could have pushed it a little more into the realm of beautifully creepy, but overall I like it and think it fits the narrative.
