Eerie, dark, and haunting, a modern-day fairytale worth the read
As soon as I read the synopsis of this book I was hooked! A haunting and twisty modern fairytale (my favorite!)? Supernatural events? Mysterious disappearances? I was sold from the first page, scratch that, the first sentence of this book and I cannot wait to read more!
I really like Iris' character, she seems like an abnormal girl just trying to fit in and be normal despite all of the crazy and supernatural things that have happened to her and her sisters. I also like her relationship with her sisters and mother so far, they seem to be really close and I always love books with a strong family dynamic. I am really interested in learning about the event that happened to Iris and her sisters ten years ago and why exactly they disappeared and where they went, including why they do not remember what happened to them. And I can already tell that this book is going to go much darker than it already has and I literally cannot wait!
And that cover! The cover is absolutely gorgeous! I need it in my hands now! It has to be one of the prettiest covers that I have ever seen! It is so haunting and eerie, perfect for the vibes that I am getting from the book thus far.
