As a teacher and an avid reader, I was captivated by the attention to detail and the mystery surrounding the Hollow sisters, two of which (Vivi and Grey) want to take the world by storm and embrace their strange magic, and the last (Iris) who just wants to be a normal teenager as she is pulled, often unwillingly, into her sisters' adventures. The story is told from the perspective of Iris, which I enjoy as I find many of my students could find her relatable as they struggle to find their own identities.
