Have you ever read a book that you both wanted to zip through it but also savor it?

That’s exactly what reading “Hotel Magnifique” was like.

This book was so imaginative and inventive. As an avid reader of fantasy books, I thought I’ve read it all when it comes to magical concepts, but I was wrong. The author has gone to great lengths to explain the magic involved in this hotel (and the people that run it). You can picture all the details in your head, almost as if you’re in the lobby yourself.

The storyline is also very addictive and thrilling. There are a lot of twists, and when you think you know what’s going to happen, a twist occurs and changes your original thoughts. Additionally, the added love story is subtle and adds to the story, instead of pulling from the magic. That is one thing I really appreciated, because sometimes added love stories can really bring a story down.

The characters are drawn out and complicated, which also makes this book interesting. The majority of the book, you’re under the impression that the main villain of the book is essentially indestructible, which of course adds even more to the thrilling elements of the book. How can the protagonist win over the antagonist if the antagonist is the most powerful suminaire in the world?

All in all, this was a fantastic book. I wish there were other books in this series, as I would love to continue the story of this magnificent, magical hotel.
