Jani and her younger sister are having a hard time staying afloat. They knew the only real way they could get by was to get a job at the mysterious Hotel Magnifique. The way the hotel is described in the book is really amazing. You could picture the rooms, the enchantments, the building itself. It is so descriptive and very easy to picture.
One of my favorite characters in the book is Bel, the doorman at Hotel Magnifique. However, I do wish we saw some more from that character. I felt like he had so much more potential.
This is a great fantasy young Adult debut novel. I normally don’t read fantasy books but I am so glad I read this one. I now want to dive more into this world. I am very excited to read more books from Emily J. Taylor.
Also, the cover is absolutely eye catching! I made sure to place it front and center on my book shelf just because of how beautiful it is.
