I saw the cover and immediately wanted to know what this book was about, and then the premise made me instantly add it to my TBR list. Once I dove in, I found that I kept waiting for the author to deliver. The characters were not as developed as I hoped, and the worldbuilding left a lot to be desired.
I also kept wondering when something memorable would actually happen. It wasn't until 70% in the book that the pace started to pick up and actually gained some momentum. I wanted a big twist, or BAM! moment, and it just never came.
