This was an interesting, quick read. It had a lot of unique turns that I did not see coming and ended up being a little darker than anticipated. The storytelling definitely sweeps you in and I found myself not wanting to put it down. I did find some part to be a little bit of a run-on, but nothing to distract me from the plot!
This books is perfect for fans of Caraval and strangely enough, fans of Willy Wonka haha! I would recommended looking up the trigger to be safe and do what is best for you!
I could see this book flying off the shelf around the fall/Halloween time. The beautiful purple tones of the cover will for sure pop on shelf and get people interested.
