Okay, if you promise me a book for lovers of Caraval and The Night Circus, you know exactly what to entice me. This book was perfect for me!
I loved loved LOVED the cover. I think the cover was very reminiscent of Great Gatsby (especially with the feathers) crossed with hotel-like script. And the purple, absolutely beautiful. That bought me already.
But inside? BEautiful as well. When I went into the book, I had thoughts of Hotel del Luna, especially since the hotel was magical. But this was magical in a different way. I love the idea of a traveling hotel (reminded me of Howl's Moving Castle). So setting did EVERYTHING for me.
I liked the mystery of the novel and Jani's journey. Is it strange that I wish that I never read the book so that I can experience the magic for the first time again?
