I have been on a HUNT to find a book that gives me the same whimsical feeling as the Caraval series this. I think I finally found the book that is going to fill that void. From the description alone, I am hooked. A traveling hotel? With whimsical elements? Oh my god am I excited. More so am I excited to see how Emily J. Taylor is going to give life to this hotel. I have only read the blurb and I feel as if I’m transported along the pages with Jani and living alongside her life. I think what also makes this book so interesting is that Jani sort of becomes the ‘background’ character in a sense that instead of experiencing the hotel as a typically person would, she’s part of the staff. This is such an interesting take as i feel like we don’t get to read books much in this perspective. These first previews have been so moving and gives such a dark whimsical feeling I am literally feeling my heart beat faster just thinking about this book! I cannot lie when I say this book has the potential to transform readers into another dimension. And a ‘vexingly handsome’ love interest? Boy am I excited. I cannot wait to see Jani’s moral compass get tested and see how far she is willingly to go to find out the truth.
