There's an air of mystery and magic surrounding this hotel that has me curious, but I don't see why the main character Jani is someone we're following (since it's told through her POV). She's only interested because of her sister, and she doesn't seem invested in the allure everyone else seems to have. I know it's only the first four chapters, so I'm hoping there'll be more to this Jani's story than what we're told so far, but we really should be pulled in by the first chapter and as the main character, she's not that great compared to any other motherless, absent father characters out there. The descriptions and details are good, but there are certain innuendos that aren't appropriate for those under 16 (despite the publisher saying it's okay for 12+).
The cover is what got me intrigued; I love the colors and the mysterious and magical vibe it has, but I probably wouldn't continue reading from what I've read so far.
