I really like the sound of this book! I vaguely recall a movie that had a similar premise, but I'm loving the French style of the book mixed with magic. The synopsis is correct about the mix of Caraval and The Night Circus, which I can already see. The cover adds to the French theming with the peacock feathers, which is part of the style of Belle Epoque. The cover is also really intriguing in showing the upper roof area of the hotel (which I can assume is where the magic is either stored or where the big bad is) and a key on a chain. I assume the key is a key to a room in the hotel, but the chain is also symbolic of how our MC can't leave because of the iron-clad contract she makes. The cover also shows off some astrological signs, which might comes into play in how the hotel operates or how the magic makes it travel.
