I get a bit wary when a book is compared to The Night Circus. One because I didn't enjoy that book as much as most people and two, because comp titles that big sometimes lead to disappointment among readers. But these first pages promise good writing and an engaging story that I wouldn't mind finishing. I' looking forward to this one!
