The description of the book was this book is for fans of Caraval which is one of my favorite fantasy series. From what I read of Hotel Magnifique (how cruel to have to stop after 50 pages!), this book has the same kind of vibe. While Zosa's angelic singing has gained her entrance into the hotel, Jani has two weeks to prove herself to be allowed to remain with her younger sister. Even if they both get to stay, there's trouble ahead. I've always been told that if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Jani and Zosa's employment at the Hotel Magnifique seems to follow this saying.
