GORGEOUS. Author Emily J Taylor has the most gorgeous writing style — so gorgeous in fact that I genuinely wilted as the first look came to its end. Stunning world-building paired with a truly lovable sibling relationship, I am HOOKED.
As anyone who knows me would tell you, I am weak for good sibling duos and Zosa and Jani are giving me everything I need. The talented songbird younger sibling for whose life and protection the older one feels responsible for. The struggle of not wanting your little sibling to grow up and to be separated from them is so resonant in the way Jani speaks and really identified with me.
The hotel itself? It sounds absolutely intoxicating as a main setting — very much giving me the Night Circus's magic with all the rich detail which Taylor blesses upon us. The magic system and the mysterious maitre — along with the (definitely there) negatives is so intriguing and I just can't wait to pick up where we are left off here.
