This isn’t something I normally go for… but wow! I was hooked from the cover and the summary.
Isabel Banta did it guys! She made some beautiful characters and an amazing plot line. I was captivated every second, I was NEVER bored.
This book is about a teen girl, Amber, in 1997 who gets a call to join a girl band. HELLO??? The flashbacks to the early 2000s has the little girl in me SCREAMING… until everything isn’t as it seems. Amber meets her “best friends” Gwen and Wes, who of course, only seem to use her for her fame. They turn her into a sex driven, money hungry, power loving individual. Slowly, Amber realizes she has become a whole different person.
Banta shines the light on the struggles of the 90s and 2000s pop stars- WITH SO BEAUTY. Her debut novel is amazing I cannot recommend it enough! The emotional rollercoaster I experienced in this book, is one I can never forget!!!
