Amber Young has always loved singing and in her small town she dreams of nothing more than being someone, something, bigger. One day she receives the call of a lifetime to join Cloud9, a new girl group that promises to launch her dream into a reality. After failed attempts she leaves and finds herself on a meteoric rise with fellow pop stars Gwen and Savannah. Surrounded by people who want to exploit her and men who think thur know what’s best for her. Amber finds herself a captive pop star who has to navigate her way through oppression in order to show who she truly is.
Set in the 2000s, HONEY is a coming of age story about a girl in the spotlight, finding her voice, embracing her sexuality and learning that standing up for yourself is always better than sitting on the sidelines of your own life.
