It’s unfortunate books for teens seem to be full of parties, alcohol, and sexual experimentation at a young age. Growing up is difficult. There are temptations and obstacles to overcome, but it seems a preponderance of teen books make it seem casual sex is common place. That sends a poor message to teens. Here is a young girl with a good voice. She has a mom portrayed with a drinking problem. ( too often the case in teen books). I’m not sure where this one is going, but I would love to see more wholesome books for teens with parents portrayed as supportive as the young people try to find themselves.
