From literally the very first sentence, "Let's begin with my body," I was hooked. Isabel Canta's way of writing in the prologue is captivating and utterly interesting with it being framed around a magazine. Also, the setting for the first chapter being Morristown (a city I literally lived in as a child) made me want to continue reading even more. The emotions behind Amber's struggle with growing older and "becoming a woman" felt very real and familiar. Finally, the story being structured like parts of a song is so creative and really works with framing the story as a whole. This is absolutely going to be something I pick up since just from the first few pages, I'm already hooked.
