This book definitely feels like it will be intriguing. The excerpt made the main character feel real to me. We meet here when she is quite young. Her talent at singing has been discovered by a talent scout while she performed at school. After a few failed auditions, her mother says they are done. She’s around 12 at the time. At 17 she decides to start again. She’s more direct this time telling the agent that she wants to sing. And after her audition, she’s getting a chance with a girl band.
