Honey is an interesting coming-of-age story that explores the swift ascension to fame of Amber Young, a budding pop singer in the late 90s and early 2000s height of pop music. I haven’t read a lot of fiction set in this time period, aside from living through it, so it was neat to see an era I lived through tackled almost like historical fiction.
