Unfortunately, this story is not for me. It is written in a young style that feels more middle grade than young adult. That wouldn't normally bother me, but it is also choppy due to using many sentence fragments. I had to reread several parts because I would lose the thread of the story. Other people may love this writing style, but I do not.
