Wow, this is a very dishy First Look at Honey by Isabel Banta! So much happens in the first 30 pages. I actually wanted the pace to slow down so I could get to know Amber a little better, but I also realized that how quickly things are moving is kind of the point; other people are often more in control than she is. I hope that we'll get a little more substance from the narrative as it continues. The cover is definitely provocative, which is a potential draw for the adult audience but unfortunately means that Honey will not be a good crossover choice for my high school library. All the same, I enjoyed this glimpse into a novel that might not have crossed my radar otherwise!
