I really like memoirs and this style of book appeals to me. I love children and their resilience. Reading the "first look" section of this book intrigued me. I want to know more about what happens. The characters seem realistic. The main narrator seems like a typical boy, excited about a new bike. I would definitely read this whole book. The cover is interesting also and visually appealing. I think the events that happen are ordinary things from this boys life but are not boring because they are told in a way that makes you care about the characters and what happens to them. You are rooting for the narrator right from the beginning. This is a book I would enjoy and I love reading true stories of ordinary people's lives, they inspire me.
