A memoir like this is probably more my style than the author's music, which strikes me as sort of a modern prog-rock version of "Top 40" music.

It's well-written and intrinsically interesting because of its setting and the story it tells, so people who like memoirs should enjoy this.

There's some rabbit killing and rabbit skinning by one of the people, so that's kind of gross and disturbing for anyone who doesn't want to read about bad things happening to fluffy bunnies.

I think in some ways this is a typical story of family relationships and parental attitudes, so even if you haven't been in a cult you will find here some of the same stories and experiences that you've found in your own life.
