The premise of this book was enough to draw me in. Cults are fascinating to me, and to read a memoir of someone who really lived in one, especially someone who was born into a cult, is absolutely fascinating and I can't help but read any book I can get my hands on that has that premise at its core. Not only that, but the cover of this book is stunning. It evokes nostalgia and draws me in in such a way that a more animated or drawn cover would not have. The writing was gripping and raw and emotional, keeping me engaged from the very beginning all the way to the very end. I loved ever second of it and I wish that the book was even longer than it was so that I could live inside the authors head for that much longer!
