Seeing Real-World Problems Through the Eyes of a Kid

Immediately, the reader can tell that the author has been through a lot. Even without knowing exactly what it may have been, the aftereffects are very plainly shown. The way that the author, as a kid, looked at things shows that he was desensitized to certain things. The cover shows a picture of a laughing kid, which I like. It makes me think that no matter what someone has been through, they can still be happy.
