Even the first look of Hollywood Park was an intense and emotionally powerful read. This is a memoir through and through, and thus is a powerful thing to read.
It's also, understandably, quite a bit sad. Personally, I think it's too sad for me. At least, for now. Maybe someday I'll make a point of reading it.
