When asked if I like the cover of this book it's more of a 'sure' than a 'yes'. Tis a very memoir-like cover so it's appropriate, but I don't feel any strong feelings for or against it.

As for the first impression, twas an excellent chapter to start in the book. I got minor A Child Called "It" flashbacks in those first couple paragraphs but after continuing, I don't think this will even be a fraction as intense as David Pelzer's autobiography. I do think this horrible brother dynamic demands to be explored though. I was just missing a little of the cult action in this first look that the summary promises but I'm sure that part of the book will be intriguing.

Overall, I'd be happy to read this memoir in its entirety but I'm not at the edge of my seat waiting for it either.
