Mikel grows up in a cult. That sentence alone was enough to draw me in. However, the excerpt talks about his quest to buy a bike and the cruelness of children, and I was hooked. I can already tell that this book will be enough to bring me to tears multiple times, but I'm ready to take on that challenge, just to learn the story of Mikel Jollett.
