This sounds like a very difficult story to read. The hardships he had to go through just kept pilling up and he definitely did not have an easy life. The summary got me very interested, but once I got into the first look, I couldn't stop reading. There was a bit more language than I would normally be okay with consuming, but I was so interested in what would happen to this poor boy. The writing immediately sucks you in and you care for the characters. Even the "villainous" ones. I like the idea of the story and grammar getting more and more complex as the main character learns about the world around him. I think that is a fantastic way to make the story even more real to the reader.
