I was ecstatic to see that this was a "first look" for this week! After seeing this title on many 2020 lists, I knew that this one was one to watch. After reading those chapters, I can see why. Although readers just get a peek at a few chapters in the middle of the memoir, it's easy to see that this will be one of the top books of the year, and one I can read in a few sittings. Memoirs are my favorite, and stories like Mikel's, although heartbreaking to read about, are so fascinating. I can't wait to get my copy!
