This book had me at the cover! Blood red moon, skeleton wearing a Victorian bonnet and creepy looking house off in the distance - I'm in! The book sets the scene like so many have before -freshly fractured family relocates to quaint little small town to move into a house that needs a ton of work and may or may not be haunted. Unlike many of these beginnings in other books the author did a great job of pulling you in with the description of the town, Hobby House and characters. The town has a cute little diner where you don’t place an order, instead the chef brings you what they think you’ll like. Another intriguing character is resident psychic who also happens to be the main characters Aunt. I enjoyed this quick read and the chapters flow nicely. The creep factor was real at the end of the first look and will definitely have me coming back to finish the book!
