I had a lot of fun reading this. I always love a good missing child ghost story. This was a bit nostalgic, reminding me of reading Goosebumps books or Scary Stories To Tell in the Dark. It channels Alice In Wonderland a bit too which is always a fun time. It put me in the fall spirit nice and early this year so I can really enjoy the season. If you enjoyed books like Katherine Arden's Small Spaces series or Heidi Lang and Kati Bartowski's Whispering Pines series then you will definitely enjoy Holly Horror too. It's creepy enough that even adults will enjoy reading it but not too scary for middle grade or even elementary age kiddos to read and enjoy. The small town fall setting really sets the mood for spooky season. I see that this is just the first in a future series so I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series. I can't wait to see what kind of horror Corpora comes up with next!
