Props to the cover which is awesome and creepy and had me extra excited to read the book. Sadly the story felt lacking, especially with that rushed ending which had me slightly confused and also a little irritated that the story did not end nicely and the author is trying to get another book out of it with a bigger villain/ghost? than Holly or Sarah.
But on to the stuff I liked. I liked the character of Evie, most of the time. Not the secrets that she kept as she was being haunted but I did like how creative and talented she was as a seamstress. I would have loved to see the dress she made, both before and after her redesigning of it (when Holly got her say in it). The bits with her brother running wild were a bit of a distraction and not really necessary but the sweet moments that they had together were nice.
It was intriguing enough for most of it that I enjoyed the story, up till the end. Will I read the next book, probably not.
