Let me start off by saying, how much I love this cover to the back. It has all the chill factor on it. The colors are dark and the picture just sends a chills down your spine. love it. I thought the story was really good and that ending? That ending wants me to pick up the second book. I can't wait until it comes out. I had a bit of a problem with the actual writing though. Just a little one because there were times, in the same paragraph, where it felt like the story was told in a first person perspective but then you see it is actually told in the third person point of perspective. That's the only problem I had with the writing. I did enjoy all the characters in the book, although Evie sometimes got on my nerves, but it wasn't enough to dislike her. I enjoyed the creepy elements of the character of Holly and the house itself. I could picture it clearly and how creepy it must have been to live in that house. I would recommended to anyone who likes a good creepy YA book.
