At first glance, Holly Horror starts as maybe a typical YA story - a teenager uprooted from her comfortable life in New York City to a small, New England town where she has to settle into a new and very different environment. It's even more fraught when her family moves into the house where a girl disappeared decades ago. The first impression does a great job of setting the scene and bringing in tension and suspense. Though we're only 50 pages into the story, it seems like it'll be a fast-paced and exciting story as family secrets and mysteries are uncovered.
