This book had me hooked from the beginning. I thought this book would be on the slow paced side of books, but it isn't so far. In the first chapter about 4 pages in, Evie is already seeing mysterious cats and shadowy figures. Talk about foreshadowing!
And like this whole "Horror House" title is like enticing. Like what happened to Holly Hobbie? What's going to happen? What does the original murder case with the house have to do with Holly and Evie? I want to know more!
The pacing of the book doesn't seem like really slow, like some horror books I've read. This one seems to want to pull you in quickly and not let you go. It certainly did that with me!
