To begin with the cover is creepy. Seems that the cover is a hint at what is to come in the story.
While I do enjoy the horror genre, this one was pretty mild at best. There's some suspense and the cliffhanger at the end of the excerpt made me curious as to what will happen to Evie and the rest of the family. It appears that there's going to be a possession at some point and I wonder what role Evie's friend Tina will have in exorcising the spirits.
