I've been waiting (not so patiently) for Julia Spencer-Fleming's new book about Clare and Russ and I can definitely say that my first peek of Hid From Our Eyes meets my expectations. The plot drew me in immediately because I am enamored of mysteries that encompass the past and present. Knowing about Russ as a young veteran is a bonus and, as always, the author's vivid descriptions make you feel as if you are right there. The portrayal of small-town "politics" is a delight. Most of all, I'm looking forward to learning more about Russ and Clare's new journey together as parents. The striking book cover is evocative of secrets shrouded for generations.
