It's been eight years since we heard fro J S-F, and I had been wondering if we would ever hear from Russ and Claire again. This is a departure from previous books in that it looks back at murders from 1956 and 1972. Now another one, in the same place and with a young girls found on the side of the same road in a party dress.
At the same time Russ is dealing with a new danger, the Tea Party of Millers Kill has decided that they could save two hundred dollars each if they get rid of the Police Department. Both Russ and Claire are dealing with the sleep depravity that goes along with having a four month old (just like everyone who ever had one).
It's a good start and is right in J S-Fs wheelhouse. Looking forward to reading the rest.
