What a lot of research Julia S-F must have done to include three time periods!

I love Julia Spencer-Fleming's Millers Kill books, so I'm eagerly awaiting Hid From Our Eyes. My first impression of the excerpt is Wow -- that must have included such a lot of evidence. She's gone back to the 1950s, back to the 1970s, and included the present day. It's ambitious and just a bit intimidating. But I'm not worried -- no author that I can think of is better suited to take the reader -- to take me! -- back to precisely the time and place she's invoking. I may be familiar with the core characters, but nothing will be missed in putting me right there in the scene.
