The first pages of this book beckoned me in with a hushed promise of a strong plot and an intriguing mystery to come. I'd love to find out what happens next, how the cases get resolved, and how they're connected. Because we'd only be reading this story if they are, and if the opening pages are any indication the connection is going to be worth every red herring we're shown.
