Seems very trope filled but might be a fun ride

I am not really a fan of the gritty, gruff police chief novel so having three different versions of the same character is kind of a let down. I would have loved (and might see with the whole book) more variety with the three points of view. It also would have been great to see one of the points of view be a woman or some other none cis white police chief.....just sayin.
