The suspense is about to end--after a long absence, Clare Fergusson and Russ van Alstyne are back in action!

This looks like a great book--mysteries from three eras are woven together so we will get to see Millers Kill from three different perspectives. The first crime was committed in 1952, the second in 1972, and the third today. All involve a young woman found dead in the boonies wearing a party dress and with no obvious reason for her demise. To make things more complicated, now-Chief of Police van Alstyne was accused of the 1972 crime but exonerated; will he be accused again?

The first look only gave us a brief glimpse of Clare as a mother; I can't wait to learn more about why she's at the pediatrician asking about fetal alcohol syndrome!

This promises to be a nail-biter as the case unfolds and Russ and Clare work to solve the mysteries while also learning to deal with parenthood for the first time.

The cover is lovely--it evokes the countryside where the bodies are found and also reminds the reader that Clare is still a priest who is trying to overcome her faults.
