Ok, I’m hooked! The cover of “Hid from Our Eyes” details a small town church and the field it looks over. Quiet and peaceful a wonderful sleepy small town right? Not when the town is called Millers Kill! There have been two murders, oops make that three. The lack of evidence and crime scene suggest they are connected but the timing, not so much. Two police chiefs have attempted to solve the crimes but small town prejudices and the State Police have got in the way. The current police chief (interestingly a suspect in murder number 2) wants to do the right thing and bring some resolution to the murders. Ah, but with the new baby, lack of sleep and the League of Concerned Voters thinking the State Police would be a cheaper alternative to the Local Police...he could be out of a job soon! I’ve only read 11 pages but I feel Chief Van Alstyne’s stress and I have burned all my party dresses! Please don’t make me wait till 2020!!
