I love the link between past and present in this one.
This book connects cases from 1952 and 1972. They each involve a dead girl in a party dress found in the grass along the side of the road with no obvious signs of death. Now it has happened again. Chief Russ vanAlstyne remembers the last one and dreads answering this call. I like the way this book is tying Russ's past to the present and his new life with Claire and their baby. I have read this entire series and have been eagerly awaiting this one. I can't wait to read this book!
