Deja Vu or not?
"Hid From Our Eyes" grabbed my attention from the first sentence. The bodies of three females found in the same field, more than twenty years apart, dressed in "party" clothes with no visible signs of trauma. Murder? Drunkenness? Prostitution? A date gone horribly wrong? The first two cases had no closure. Can the sheriff, already facing budget cuts that would eliminate his department, finally solve the mystery that connects these women through the years? Is this a repeat of the original case or perhaps a copycat? I can't wait to find out.
The cover conveys the feeling of isolation and "spookiness" of the bodies location. It is perfect for this story.
